Event Description

The Mount Shasta Tinman Triathlon: The Mount Shasta Tinman Triathlon is an icon for the north state which has been a major fundraiser for Dunsmuir Rotary Club, and one of the most enjoyable triathlons in northern California for decades. Returning for years to come, the Tinman is now on a mission to partner with Rotary's critical passion of ensuring children have their meal needs met though the weekend, not just while they are at school. 20% of your registration will be donated to the Dunsmuir Rotary Club as they work with Wildcat Weekender, accomplishing their mission. Details of your adventure, cheered by the majestic view of Mt. Shasta include: Race Date- September 6, 2020Registration:Early Bird through June 15, 2020  Individual $75 Team $120Regular Registration June 16-August 30, 2020 Individual $100 Team $150No guarantee of t-shirt if registering after August 16.Distance: Swim 740 yards, Bike 16 miles, Run 3.2 miles Course Information:(Note: Duathlon is Run 3.2 mi, Bike 16.67 mi, Run 3.2 mi)The swim begins at the Lake Siskiyou Beach and Splash Zone. (Note: Duathlon- Run begins at Lake Siskiyou Beach and Splash Zone. After the first run, the same directions (below) as the Triathlon apply)After the swim, contestants mount their bikes and ride out of the Lake Siskiyou Camp Resort approximately 5 miles to the intersection of W. A. Barr and Old Stage Roads then back to the transition area. The run goes through the Nature Trail to W. A. Barr Road and then north on the road to the turn around-point.
